Wax Orchard South is part of a family estate on Vashon Island. It is smaller than its counterpart, Wax Orchard North, also designed with Ment. I lead Coordination and documentation for this simple bend bar design. Its elegant bend in the middle conceals a complicated transition from a truss framed roof to stick framed roof. A vaulted outdoor space at its center was achieved with hidden structural elements giving the ceiling a clean look.
